The USB port is not for use with a PC.

ABS Button: Switches between Absolute and Incremental modes.

Press Zero in Absolute mode (when INC is not displayed) to set absolute zero in the display.

Press ABS (INC is displayed) to set a temporary zero at your current position allowing you to measure from that point.

Press ABS again to return to absolute mode and display your position relative to the absolute zero you previously set.

Pre+ and Pre- Buttons: These buttons allow you to preset a target measurement e.g. +1.04mm or -1.04mm. Once set, you can then move the preset distance down (or up) to zero.
